Meet special agent Laffy (me) and special agent Taffy (ang).
We slink and scour along Miracle Mile looking to unearth and unashamedly eat its treasures. The barren, grey and pee-lined ugliness does not waver our resolve. There's a Starbucks on the corner of Wilshire and Detroit, hello we're fine.
The only inconspicuous articles of spywear being Taffy's Vintage Dior sunglasses and Father's 80's shades which I conveniently borrowed from him last Fall, other than that we walk around aimlessly looking for delicious fare at intern-friendly prices. I usually have the trusty pair with me - my Harley Davidson inspired Frye boots. Special Agent Taffy totes her over sized hot pink and spinach green Balenciaga bag.
On our mission for something that wasn't a Subway or a Quiznos, it didn't occur to me that we would become the pocket foils of the organic underworld. Across from the E! Entertainment Building there's a little eatery called Organic-to-Go. It fast became our salad haven. Heard of greener pastures? My goulash, here they were. And I was under the impression that I was organically-challenged for quite sometime, while my partner, who's of the vegetarian persuasion, came highly-advanced in all things soy. Look at us now!
Fast forward to the present day, we love 'o-to-go', it's a fact, but one tends to grow tired of the annoying walk down Wilshire. So we found the new gem, (or...germ), across the street from the office. Not only is it organic, it's vegan. It's Cafe Flourish.
Organic Orgasm of the day: The Flourish Lemonade Fresh-squeezed lemon juice, agave & sparkling water with a fresh basil leaf.
Don't listen to that frog.
It's so easy being green.
