Designer Rachel Antonoff is getting pretty crafty with the promotion for her Spring 2010 collection of the same name. The threads are deceivingly sweet in a "I dug through my grandmother's closet for pearls but walked away with the fanny shorts she wore before grandpa happend" kinda way. It's a music video. It's a look book. It's a Look&Listen fashion nod to the fashion pariah of movies- Teen Witch. A movie so camp, it looks like the 80s finally checked in the mirror and threw up all over itself, but yet still manages to provide me with the basic criteria in determining whether I can like you or not. Usually, all I have to do is drop a "TOP THAT" into the conversation and if you're my kind of friend you'll get that look in your eye. Antonoff basically just sent over a *huge* "TOP THAT" to me via music video, and this is my delivery confirmation - she is now, and will forever be - Queen Stitch.
I'll never be the same again.

Check out Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat channeling everybody's favorite bone thug and harmonizer Polly. She will next be seen in The Runaways with Kristen Stewart. Shawkat was born in 1989 -the same year Teen Witch hit theaters. Both 20, of which the latter most probably was conceived under the influence of pixie dust candy and a do-it yourself voodoo doll kit. And making a cameo is Antonoff herself, assuming the role of our beloved Louise Miller, once originated by the glitter jean jacket jockin' Robyn Lively. To those who didn't watch the edited Disney version as a kid and/or were born after 1992, I'll make this easy for you. She's Serena van der Woodsen's older sister...and Shana's biggest fan. Lucky charms, anyone?
